Rico was a last-minute buy for us at the auction, as he was heading for the meatman's trailer and was scared to death. He is an 8 year old 13.3hh STOUT pony gelding, VERY cute and VERY talented (have video of him free-jumping, he can DEFINITELY eat his knees!), but he is still quite green under saddle. Rides around, but needs an experienced rider until hes had more mileage (no buck or rear or bolting etc, but he forgets what he learned the day before and gets jumpy & flustered and is terrified he's going to get in trouble for it). Very sweet guy, lots of try and a big heart, but he needs a quiet hand, LOTS of positive reinforcement, and a patient handler to bring out the best in him. Would be a great natural horsemanship or Parelli project for an adult or teen to finish off any way they want!
