Jet is being worked through training level dressage. He enjoys the work and is constantly improving. He is smooth to ride, with fluid gaits and nice impulsion. He has nice flat gaits and has freedom of movement through his shoulders. He responds well to leg, seat, and hand pressure. He stays light in your hands, but still has nice contact. He is really starting to stretch from his withers and lengthen his frame out, which allows his to reach up underneath of himself even more with his hindquarters. He has some really nice extended moments, with nice suspension to his trot. He has a great mind and willingness to learn. He yields his hindquarters and forehand and has been started on lateral work. Jet would make an excellent dressage, jumper, eventer, hunter, or fox hunting prospect. He shows jumping potential and scope already, with willingness to fence. I haven't asked him to do too much jumping yet because of his age. He is very friendly and is more of an "in your pocket" type of horse. He has great ground manners, clips, bathes, trailers, and stands for his feet to be handled. He is UTD on spring shots, is 100%, with no vices or health issues. There are more pictures available on our website. Serious inquiries appreciated, thank you.

Anchor Creek Farms -
We specialize in buying and training young draft cross horses. Each horse is initially started on the ground in a round pen, learning the basics of lunging, backing up, and turning on the forehand and hindquarters. All of this is taught with the main focus on gaining the horses respect. We also desensitize each horse to tarps and other objects, as well as farm machinery, lawn mowers, and vehicles. Once the groud work phase is completed, their under saddle training begins with introductory/training level dressage. It is important to have a well balanced, collected and properly muscled horse before asking them to go further in a particular discipline. Following this, horses are asked to do gymnastic excersises over small verticles and cross rails. If a horse shows jumping potential they are asked to jump further. All horses are also trail ridden on a regular basis and asked to cross creeks or any other obstacles along the way. It is very important to have a well rounded horse. When a horse is ready to move on to another home, we advertise to find the perfect buyer and place for each horse.
