This funky little Cal-bred guy is a "6 furlong specialist". By GENERAL MEETING out of a BERTRANDO mare. Short cannon bones and strong as..... well... a Bold General. In 2007 his record is 10 in-the-money out of 15 starts ( 15-4-2-4 ) at Turf Paradise, Prescott, Flagstaff, Zia Park, and Sunland. He raced on dirt and turf.
In 2007, he set the fractions in nearly every race or laid just off the pace, consistently, in 0.22, 0.45 and out in 1:10 to 1:11.4 at 6-f. He won 1 race in May, '07 in 1:10 flat !! On Nov 18th at Zia Park he finished 3rd, one length off the winner, "improving late" with a first time rider. On Dec 3rd, he came in 2nd in a 6-f race run in final time of 1:11.0 flat ("...he dualed with the leader, put that rival away into the stretch..."). Next race - Sunland Park on Dec 16 - he wired the field and WON - in 22:1, 45:2, 58:2, and out in 1:11:2 on a deep track. Because they don't seem to want to write open races at Sunland going 6-f, we had to enter him at 6.5 furlongs... he went to the lead out of the #1 hole and was 1 & 1/2-lengths off the leader out of the turn in 1:09.4 - but tired at the final distance. He's a cash machine but we're "thinning the herd" getting ready for 2008. MAKE AN OFFER.
