Also, video coming soon, so check back in a day or so!
Lola is a registered, 5 year old haflinger mare. There is literally a laundry list of all her great attributes: solid w/t/c for english and solid w/j/l for western pleasure (SUPERB short lope), beautiful transitions up and down, perfect walk to canter transition, side passes, working on half pass, easy to move shoulders and hips independently, show winner hunt seat eq, show winner western pleasure, reserve champion over poles, easy to ride, steers 100% off of leg, learning bridleless (have ridden her bareback and bridleless-no halter no neck rope) but she also easily stays collected in just a halter. HUGE presence in the ring or on the trail. There is NO missing this one! I have sorted cows on her and even put her to work hauling dirt to fill in the awful holes we had last summer. Fantastic at crossing water on the trail....she doesn't do the balk and then leap routine, good crossing bridges. She's also excellent at navigating deep washouts, she doesn't rush up or down. Great opening / closing gates. Rides okay by herself. I've ridden her to the next town over (about 12 miles round trip) solo. Lots of trips to Trace Trails, Bardwell. Lake Whitney and recently to Fairfield Sate Park. She's just a calm and well grounded mare. An absolute sweet heart with no buck, bolt, bite, rear, etc. Easy keeper, gets no grain and stays fat. She also doesn't need to be lunged or ridden down...just hop on and go. I get a TON of compliments on her. Excellent ground manners including: easy to catch, stands tied all day, hobble trained, ground ties, loads/unloads easily, easy to clip, no issues or vices at all. Clean legs - never had a splint in her life, no heat, no swelling - she is completely solid and sound. Fantastic feet - she runs barefoot, never been shod and will never need to be. I can trot her on gravel and she doesn't skip a beat. UTD on all shots, deworming, coggins and had teeth floated last fall. I bought her from the breeder, so I have her complete history and even baby pictures. The list truly goes on and on - I would love to tell you even more about her.
So...here's the reason for the $3,000 price tag and not $10,000....during her spring shots vet said I needed to get a spot on her eye checked out at TAMU. I literally can not make it down there with my work schedule and they are not open on Saturdays. I even took some vacation time to make a trip during the week and I had to cancel....just can't get away and I have put my work first at this point. So, this is untimely for me but a good opportunity for you. A mare like this can easily sell for 2 or 3 times what I'm asking now. If she doesn't sell, when my work schedule calms down, I'll take her down there...but wanted to offer this up.
I have LOTS of pictures and I'm happy to email you.
