Competitive Jumper Mare - Tons of Video Footage!

Salsa is a flashy 16.1HH chestnut thoroughbred mare, 13 years old, with a very successful resume of being a great "teacher."

She was imported from the US to Canada in 2009 after having shown in the jumper ring up to 1.15m and competing in three day event competitions in California. For the end of the 2009 show season and the beginning of the 2010 season, Salsa was shown by a novice rider in the 2'6 and 2'9 hunters with multiple ribbons. For the remainder of the 2010 season, Salsa was used in a lease horse program and introduced riders coming out of the hunter ring to the jumper ring. In 2011, she was shown by a good junior rider all over Western Canada with numerous wins and placings in the 1.10m jumpers and derby classes. For the past year, Salsa has been used for lessons for all levels, beginner to 1.10 jumpers. She is very patient with all her different riders and is simple and easy to ride.

Salsa is very versatile and can go from jumping around a 1.10m course one day to packing around a novice rider in the hunter ring the next. She's a competitive 1.10m jumper and could also do the 1.15m and 1.20m with the right rider. This is a great mare that loves to work and is very well broke on the flat (shoulder in/out, counter canter, haunches in/out, half pass, etc.).

Salsa will jump anything from anywhere, she isn't spooky, has good conformation and great feet. She has jumped all of the natural obstacles and loves trail rides. Hacks out on her own or in a group.

Salsa has no vices at all, is UTD on all equine care/shots and trailers like a dream.

This mare would be a fabulous addition to any lesson or lease horse program as she is so handy, as well as make a perfect mount for a junior or amateur looking to be competitive in the 1.10m jumpers or do some three day events.
