Charlie is a 12 year old, 15 hand, gorgeous brown gelding. He comes from the hill country
ranching area near Harper, Texas. This is a good, all around kind of using horse, he has
been used on the ranch working and gathering cattle, checking fences and water, and
sorting cattle. He has also been used to lead and wrangle trail rides of various sizes, going
through pastures, down the road, and through towns. He has a laid back manner and a
forgiving attitude (in case of rider error) and does not spook or shy at anything whether in
the crowds, in the pasture, or in the pens. You can turn this horse out for any length of time
that you want and not have to worry that he will get fresh, frisky, or want to buck with you.
He has no bad habits and is easy to load, shoe, and mount. This horse is safe and gentle
enough that the beginner and novice riders can feel comfortable, yet he has a good prompt
response to his riding cues and would probably be most appreciated and enjoyed by
intermediate and experienced riders. He will adapt to any rider at any skill level. This horse
would be a real asset for any family or stable.
