Rusty is one of the best horses I have ever owned. He is extremely smart and quiet. He is Parelli trained and can go bridleless. He is an extremely easy keeper and maintains "all" his weight without much feed. He is safe and sound with a great personality and mind. He prefers people to horses and will cross the entire pasture just to say "Howdy". Rusty has impeccable ground manners. He will stand tied all day without pawing or dancing around. He will pick up his back feet for you before you even bend over and does not EVER try to jerk them away. He has been to Colorado, Wyoming and all over trail riding. Has been shown dressage by his previous owner. He is 13 years young and I am his second owner. He is a keeper. If he was a reining horse he wouldn't leave my property. Rusty crosses water, bridges, climbs hills and takes everything in stride. He walks out pretty fast so we are constantly going back for the slowpokes in the group. His trot is a little rough but his canter is wonderful and he will not break his gate unless you ask. He sidepasses and backs very easily. He knows his leads and is very responsive to leg pressure. Neck reins or feet reins you pick. He can turn on forehand or haunches in the saddle or on the ground. He will move any body part you ask him to just by pointing to it. I have used him to pony my young horses because he is so calm and gentle and teaches them to cross anything. I also use him for lessons for people that have never been on a horse. UTD on all shots, coggins, and farrier. He is an extremly nice horse and would be a great beginner horse or a horse for someone who does a lot of trail riding and wants a reliable gentle giant to protect them and keep them safe.
