This mare pedigree available at www.allbreedpedigree.com
This is a very pretty GRULLO mare with a very good black line down her back.. She has produced color for us every foal. Awesome mama and NO PROBLEMS foaling. She has a very kind disposition and passes it along.
She is due to foal anytime. The picture of her does not do her color justice.
This mare was broke as a 2 yr old and we put a saddle on her a few months ago and shewalked around the round pen just as calm as ever.
She is in foal to the following stallion...
POCO CUFFS STRIPE AQHA#3625665 By JB Harlans Stripe. 1997 AQHA Dun stallion with all black points. Here he is if you are looking for that GOOD Old Fashion Foundation Breeding with the modern look. (AKA Tarzan) Tarzan is one of those hard to find stud horses. He has the sweetest disposition and can be handled by anyone. I use him to work cattle, trail ride. Roped on in and out of the arena. You can ride him through the roughest of country, you aim him and he will go. Go across tanks and rivers without a problem. He is the same if you ride him once a week or every 6 months. Slip a halter on and mount up bareback. Not a problem. Haul him with mares, trail ride with mares. You would never know he was a stud. My 5yr granddaughter rides him and climbs all under and over him.
Tarzan has 4 super black feet. Seems to be a trait he passes on.
Talking to many of his off spring owners. We always get the same response. These are the easiest colts to break, never an ounce of buck and they all make great riders with tons of potential.
He has a big full long mane and tail. He loves to be bathed, groomed, go swimming and just to hang around the barn tied to be in the middle of the action. He will stand tied for hours. We just brought him in last week from the pasture breeding all of our mares. He is super. I would go check the pasture horses every other day and you could rub all over him, pick his feet up, push him around, or anything you wanted right amongst the mares.
He sees a halter he is right there putting his head in it no matter where you are.
Tarzan was owned by Billy Cook from the age of a yearling until we purchased April 08. He is a very kind and gentle breeder. No biting, pawing or being rowdy.
If you are looking for a nice stud or in the need of a stud he will pay for himself quick. I have many people wanting to breed to him but I do not have a facility where we are able to take in outside mares.
Here are the names you will see on Tarzan's pedigree. Tivio Stripe, Poco Stripe, Poco Cuff, Poco Bueno ( many times), Poco Pat, King Zan Wall and many other well known Poco Horses.
HE CERTAINLY does throw color. He is very strong about putting a line down their back. I have 2 blood bays by of him and they have solid black strips.
I have been in limbo on letting this mare go. She is really nice and TRUE GRULLO's are not easy to find.
