Maverick is a darling, little angel of a horse. He is a super sweet, super broke, gentle and extremely loving gelding. Maverick is the type of horse that everyone hopes to find. You will not meet a kinder, gentler animal. He always greets you in his stall and loves to be around people. He is a total in your pocket, puppy dog personality love bug of a horse. On top of a wonderful disposition he is gorgeous and absolutely wonderful to ride! Maverick has big, kind dark eyes, a thick multi color mane and tail, four white stockings and beautiful tri color markings. He is a beautiful horse! He is the type of horse that anyone can ride and a horse you can teach youngsters to ride on. We have had a few of these super special young horses come through over the past years. Their owners always send me stories of how thrilled and impressed that they and everyone who meets their horse is. Maverick was raised by a family and he was there family pet and the horse that kids would take to the lake and on the trails. He has been used as a diving for young children in the water and as a teacher when the youngsters first wanted to learn how to ride. Maverick is an exceptionally forgiving horse that is very, very trustworthy. Maverick is stellar on the trail and is not bothered by anything. He has an exceptional mind. He performs better than most ten year old horses on the trail and on the ground! He is kind, consistent and eager to please. When a horse this great, this young comes by you do not want to miss him. He is a really special horse! We have monkeyed around on him, knelt on his back, stood on his back *see videos* rode with no hands, bareback in a halter... Not to many horses will let you do all of that. Maverick has excellent ground manners. He stands still to cross tie, groom, bathe, loads/unloads with ease, clips, ties... He stands quiet to mount/dismount, gaits on a loose rein, walks on a loose rein, stops with a "whoa", backs up.... He is not spooky and has been raised and trained right. He has been exposed to dogs, flags, high winds, deer, wildlife, cows, ATV's, cars, trucks, traffic, school zones, plastic bags... Maverick is a confidence builder, teach and wonderful horse in every way all he needs is someone to love him for years and years to come.
