Here he is, your...FINISHED & PROVEN BARREL HORSE!
"One Grand Thunder" aka "Gun":
12 year old , 15.3hh, bay AQHA gelding.
Sire is "One Grand Bunny", dam is "Twisted Knickers".
Solid 2D horse, currently running in Canada, but will return to California in May.
Never runs by a barrel, super honest, safe, anyone can ride.
Very light and very broke.
Great to haul, drinks/eats on the road, easy to get along with.
The more you run him, the better he gets.
Really aims to please.
Note from "Gun's" owner:
His full name is One Grand Thunder.
He is for sale ONLY because I just had a baby and cannot keep two horses and my mare is just getting going. He is so nice that I really want to see someone else do something with him. He's at a point in his life that he can teach a child or beginner and really build someone's confidence. I bought him when he was three years old. He was the "runt" (not now at 15.3 hands) on the racing farm he was bred at, so he never went to the track. He was sold and I got him. He was started with a reining trainer to get a little bit of his baby stuff out. He then went into barrel racing training when he was 5-6 years old. He was started slow and correct. The trainer who trained him has a big background in dressage and he has a very light dressage feel. I am able to move all his body parts independently and he's very supple. I ran him at local races and some regional races. He's always been correct and has not been overused. I have ridden him on the trails and my very novice boyfriend has most recently used him on the trails. I have used him for lessons for beginners. He is a babysitter. If he feels like the rider does not have confidence or knowledge, he will not move much unless asked correctly. He will stay by my side and keep them safe if he's unsure of their ability. If the rider has confidence, he will do whatever is asked and will perform accordingly. Please let me know what else you might want to know. Thanks, Jackie"

Clarity Performance Horse Sales -
The trickle down effect of the depressed economy on the horse industry, starting in 2008:
I think we are all feeling it, in one way or another. Breeders can't sell. Individual horse owners can't sell. But they need to. This is why my assistant Amy Savage and myself, Clare Long, have formed CPHS (Clarity Performance Horse Sales). We want to help and we can. We have successfully SOLD 46 horses into fantastic, loving 'forever' homes, in just 2 years!
We are offering to take your horse in training to sell, just for the price of board, starting at $500 per month. We make it easy on your pocketbook, and bank account, by allowing all training costs to be paid out of the price of the sale.
The reasons why we can sell are simple and straightforward:
1. We put all of our time, hearts and soul into each and every horse that we sell, and treat them as if they were our own.
2. We have countless resources, formed from 39 years in the business, at our fingertips.
3. We spend tremendous amounts of energy on the horses: grooming, exercising, training, photos, videos, written descriptions, hand grazing, and tons of old fashioned 'elbow grease' and TLC.
4. We have unlimited connections, in all the horse industries, disciplines, and breeds.
OK, so maybe, 'desperate' is too strong a word, but dang would you like to sell your horse!
Again, we can help Feel free to call Clare for all the details: 707-338-2092; or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Looking forward to talking to you soon, Clare and Amy of Clarity Performance Horse Sales.
