Reasons that we love Rio:

1. He is willing to please and loves to be with people. Such personality! The Total Package - Class AND Style. In your pocket all day. Meets you at the fence.

2. He is a magnificent dappled 16h Buckskin beauty with a heart of Gold. (Not a mean bone in his body!)

2. His gait is DIVINE. AND HE CANTERS AND NECK REINS. If you have a bad back, Rio will make it feel better.

3. He is that go to horse that we can put most riders on (if you can get them up there - 16h - husband's, guests but you want to ride him yourself......) We've used him for a Womens Shelter Seminar to show relationships and boundaries. Women with virtually no experience were taught grooming and hoof handling and riding on Rio. Then we let women ride him all over the farm unsupervised. He is trustworthy and respectful.

4. Ride him alone or with a group, he will join up with you and there will be NO drama.

Traffic safe, he loves water... (part duck), leads, loads, clips. Not spooky.

5. He is forgiving. (See video's of Melissa learning Natural Horsemanship with Rio just staring at her. When you are done laughing call Melissa (540)303-0569 and make an appt to take a trail ride on Rio).

Background: He came from middle Tennessee and only trail ridden. EXTENSIVELY.

Melissa used him for her personal horse on vacation in Tennessee at Bucksnort Trail Ride (think 300 horses with trailers and campers coming and going).

He IS that Go To horse so when we need a horse to lead trail rides, we can always count on Rio to be drama free while we look out for novice riders on smaller horses. We also trust him enough to rent him for trail rides we provide at our farm.

Give Rio or any Tennessee Walking Horse or Spotted Saddle Horse we sell leadership skills and you'll have the envy of the trail ride.

We sell over 50 gaited trail horses a year, all over the country. We give each sale a trial period and lessons after the sale. We want our horses getting a home for life so we want you to be HAPPY doing business with us. Our prices can be flexible but commitment to our horses and their secure future is not :) Call Melissa (540)303-0569 to learn more about Rio and the many other Tennessee walking horses and Spotted saddle horses we have for sale. Bailey's Walking-After-Midnight Farm - Welcome to Baileyâââ‰â¢s Walking-After-Midnight Farm (formerly Bailey's Black Widow Farm). Farm is located at the top of the state of Virginia, in the heart of Virginiaâââ‰â¢s horse county. (540)303-0569 Melissa I insist that my horses go to a home for life, so I give each sale a 2 week trial to make sure you bought what you thought you bought. This means you wonâââ‰â¢t get stuck with a bad decision. We pride ourselves on providing trustworthy trail horses that are "Grandma Safe". We have a superior selection of smooth, gentle, experienced Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle Horses. We have about 15 horses here - that ARE proven trail horses we've brought out of Tennessee. None come from sale barns. They are family pets. My horses don't have much of a show ring background either so they are not nervous or wired up. Several have been a family pet and shown by that family, but predominantly a trail riding horse, so if you'd also like to trail ride and compete in a show ring, it will be nice to know you are buying naturaly talented gaited horse that doesn't need soring or special devices to win in a show ring. These trail savvy gaited horses are THE ideal trail pleasure ride. Ride a horse that gives you permission to ride! We specialize in natural moving and smooth gaited trail horses with LOTS of experience on trails. Our Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle horses double as horses we use here for our custom trail rides, birthday parties and riding lessons. Why not give them a job to do till they find their "forever home". Besides the trot not thing, our horses are GORGEOUS - we specialize in quality gaited horses of unique color, with loving personalities. We have every color under the rainbow. You'll look great on the trail riding a well behaved Palomino, Buckskin, Blue Roan, or Tobiano (Spotted) beauty. Occasionally we carry Missouri Fox Trotters and Rocky Mountain horses for sale too. If I don't have what you want, I can find it. We lived in Tennessee for 8 years and I find a sound sane smooth gaited horse better than most folks can.
