Additional Comments:
Duke is a VERY flashy, good looking horse! We call him Duke because he resembles a horse that John Wayne rode. His dam is a bay Morgan-cross and his sire is a NICE Appaloosa stallion who has very nice bloodlines that can be seen at http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/born+supreme ... a pedigree full of good race and rodeo horses. This guy should mature to around 14.2hh or 14.3hh and be STOUT. I have had several of his siblings by the same stallion, and they are known for having good, sensible minds, easy to train and handle. They rarely ever spook and make awesome horses for ranch, rodeo, trail riding, endurance, and kids horses, and I have never known one to go lame. These are GOOD horses! I have some half siblings that I am in the process of developing into great barrel horses, and I am sure that this colt is not lacking in any of those areas. Duke had 30 days under saddle last fall, we will be working with him as time allows us and as his level of training goes up, so will his price. He will be one heck of a barrel horse! He would also make a nice roping horse, especially once he fully matures- he will be stout and strong. He was raised on a ranch in a herd, which tends to make horses more surefooted to be ranch raised rather than pen-raised, and he knows how to get along with other horses. Email me and I will happily send pics of Duke, his pedigree can be seen at http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/duke78. I reserve the right to refuse to sell this horse to anyone for any price for any or no reason.
