Honcho is a 2012 palomino stud colt. He currently looks palomino but I believe he will turn grey. He is out of a nice, big grey mare, Texas War Wind, that is War Leo, Sugar Bars and Doc Bar bred. His sire is a 100% NFQHA palomino stallion, Pretty Poco Cody, that is Poco Bueno and Mr Blackburn bred. This colt should be able to do it all. He is bred for cow but also has enough running blood in his background to have some speed to him. He is built heavy, with solid bones and wide chest and hip.... (read more) I have the half sibling to this colt, Heartland Girl, a big stout grey dun mare that we use for heading. This mare is super nice with a lot of speed and power. Everywhere we go, people ask if she is for sale and I believe that this colt will be the same. My mare can run barrels and turn around and head a steer. These colts are really tough, with a lot of go and a lot of heart. They are super smart and trainable. I would love to keep this colt and use him but we need slim our herd. She will be UTD on worming and will be halter broke when she is weaned and ready to go. Email or call for more info and/or pics. You can see his sire, dam, and sibling on my website.
