Chief is a true blue roan without any white markings and four strong black feet. He is very nice put together and stands 13.3 hands this Spring, probably maturing around 15.1 hands.
Chief is halter broke and has been messed with somewhat, he is very people friendly and learns quick. He will be worked with as weather permits, is ground driving now and will be ready for a saddle soon (last update: March 28, 2012).
He will be gelded soon when the vet comes out to work on several stud colts at the ranch. However, he does not act studdy and is easy to work with.
Colored Horse Ranch
We breed Quarter Horses with Working Cow Horse bloodlines for ranch and competition (cutting, reining) for several decades. Our horses are cowy with lots of stamina and good, easy going minds. Most horses for sale are weanlings or young prospects, only occasionally a saddle horse. We are located just behind Devils Tower National Monument in the north east corner of Wyoming, some of the young horses are at a ranch in Rapid City, South Dakota.
