*****ADOPTION FEE WAIVED****Cadillac is a sweet Quarab Gelding. He is 15.1hh and weighs 950lbs he is a 3 ½ (in his 4th year but was a winter baby!) and we believe he still has some growing to do! He has fantastic confirmation, good feet, and UTD on shots, coggins and teeth.
Cadillac has over 200 days of official riding (spent 60 days with our professional trainer!!!) and up till the last month he was ridden multiple times per week. He has been under saddle for a year and was broke right!!! We ride him as a hunter under saddle and on trails. He can be ridden English and Western, on and off the bit, collects well and has started a neck rein. He has a stellar amount of training for his age. He knows, walk, trot/jog, canter/lope, and knows his leads he can also perform a really nice simple change. He backs up, has a great side pass, and stop. He will do anything on the trail (goes through water, swims, walks on rocks, sand, and through mud, and loves going up hills) and he is virtually un-flappable. He is not a perfect horse, and he is not for a beginner. I have taught a few lessons on him, and with riding he always improves quickly.
He will be ridden as a hunter under saddle till he finds his next home. He has already been hauled quite a bit.
He would make a great horse for any rider, excellent show mount, and would excel as a hunter under saddle, or hunter/jumper but could go anywhere you wish! He would also be an excellent candidate for ACTHA, eventing, or endurance! He is broke, and willing to do whatever the rider asks.
Cadillac could easily be ridden by a young student with the help of a skilled trainer, but he does need a rider that knows proper leg cues and what to do with their hands, because he does have a lot to learn. He is a very nice horse, but he is not a finished horse, someone needs to finish him.
He leads, loads, bathes, ties, and stands for the farrier.
He has NO vices. He does not kick, buck, rear, bite, or crib.
He is UTD on shots, deworming, coggins, and farrier; and we had his teeth floated just a few months ago.
He is at the perfect age to start showing. He loves people, he's kind on the ground, and is very curious and willing. He has come along very nice, and we are motivated to sell him because we do not have enough time to show him to his full potential. He is highly athletic and smart and deserves a home that will give him everything he deserves.
Cadillac did have a locking stifle when he came to us as a yearling. The issue has since resolved. We welcome any vet check or pre-purchase exam and offer the x-rays we have taken to anyone. We also offer our veterinarians direct contact information for further explanation. We are negotiable on his price for this reason however it is not a lameness issue and does NOT affect his performance. He is 100% sound.
******* $250 CARE FEE*********** to ensure you have the funds to care for him each month.
He is not a flip horse, a horse to take to auction, or for a cowboy, he is a good horse that deserves a forever home.
