Beautiful 9 YO 16.3H dappled grey purebred Percheron. A BIG horse, very suitable for large riders. Rides English, bends well, moves off the leg & will do some basic lateral work. Will stretch down & take the bit with a little effort. Has received professional training, and I have used the Clinton Anderson methods with him. Trail ridden at home & at Fairhill, MD. Jumps very willingly, maintaining an even pace over fences. Should only be used for low, occasional jumping tho, since he has sidebone on his right forefoot - is currently sound barefooted, with no bute or injections required. Will readily accept a Western saddle, tho does not neck-rein. Has been trained to drive, but due to lack of access to harness or cart, I have never tried him at this. Was previously used for several years in a lesson program at a women's college. A sweet horse & people oriented - will come up to you in the field. A very thrifty keeper, and very neat in his stall. Excellent ground manners. Clips, stands quietly for the vet & farrier, loads easily into trailers or vans. Currently lives in run-in stall & is very happy that way. Christian will do better with a strong, confident rider, since he requires a strong leg & sometimes needs a reminder that moving out is not an option! Am selling because I have another horse & no longer ride Christian.Will sell with some tack & blankets included.PS ....
