Additional Comments:
Looking for a home for my 13 yr. old gelding, Sabar. He's a branded Mustang, 15.1 hands and built like a tank. He's been a fantastic first horse, but I can't afford to keep two horses, and he's not in an ideal situation where I board.
He is a super easy keeper. He has no shoes, and only needs trimmed every 8-10 weeks, and stands quietly for the farrier. If he's kept on pasture, he won't need grain at all. He's UTD on his shots, Coggins and deworming and just had his teeth done last spring (won't need them done again for at least a year.) He's quiet for grooming, picks up his feet and is good when getting a bath. He's a sweet boy, good with dogs and cats being around, and has good ground manners. He's never bitten or kicked, and he's not a cribber or chewer.
He was dominant in his previous turnout. He's never kicked or bitten at another horse while being ridden.
He is sound and can be ridden, but needs a experienced rider as he can be spooky under saddle and is very stubborn. I've ridden him both English and Western. He's been started over jumps, and has trotted the pole and barrel patterns. He's incredibly smart, and has the potential to do anything, but I don't think he'll ever be a kids/husband horse. He has been ridden on trails, although not extensively, and seemed calmer outdoors than when being ridden in our indoor arena.
His price is negotiable to the right home, because I want what is best for Sabar. I'd much rather him find a loving home with acreage/pasture to play in, then worry about his price. I will not negotiate until both he and I have met you.
If you think Sabar would be a good fit for you, please email me. I'm happy to answer any questions, provide more pictures or videos.
