Pledge is a pretty and sweet, three year old filly. Her AQHA dam was a working cutting horse in her younger years and is now a good kids horse. Pledge is very gentle and will come right up to you in the pasture to be haltered. Unfortunatley, her feet have not been handled enough and she needs some corrective hoof care( she isnt lame as far as I can tell, she just needs to have her hooves streightened through trimmings and or shoes). One front is toed out and one back has a whirl. Pledge just needs to be worked with more to get a really good hoof trim, she doesnt want to stand still for the farrier, she never kicks, just turns and pulls away. We did however just have her feet done by a professional farrier and used a sedative, which worked very well. This filly is super easy to handle, she just doesnt know how she feels about having her feet done and I truely dont have the time to work with her. She ties, leads and bathes pretty well.
Pledge's bloodlines include Sky Bug Bingo, Doc Bar, Handcock, De Witt Bar, Quincy Dan and Poco Bueno. She has a really cool and unique Gorilla's head marking. This filly is only being offered up for adoption I have more horses than I can afford to support and I would love to see her go to a good home with people who have the time to work with her. Pledge will make a wonderfull kids horse, broodmare or working cow horse if her feet can be fixed up.
