Katie is a very nice 34 inch mare with GREAT movement - has a perlino son that has won in the Single pleasure driving classes at local AMHR Rated shows. Also have a daughter of her's and as much as I like her eventually with my small farm I won't have a stallion to cross her to is why I've decide to list her.
She has been worked with alot by myself at home over the years and could be used as a show horse or continue to be a nice broodmare who produces great babies.
To date with different stallions she's had two fillies and two colts - does not have problems getting in foal/staying in foal and has had textbook deliveries - I am usually there to assist (she was 'sneaky' on one foal and had no issues)
She clips, ties, loads, bathes - has been worked with in long lines and the round pen - has also been worked with for trail in hand type obstacles but has never been shown - but could def go that way if you decided to.
Here she is my alpha mare within the herd but is not overly aggressive about it - she just makes sure everyone knows she's alpha.
I have kept her Perlino son as a stallion and am also keeping her 2011 black pinto filly this is the ONLY reason she's for sale. She is a great mare with great movement and is a wonderful mom that could also be shown.
She has been worked with on long line, round pen work and started with the process of breakking to drive but has not been hooked to cart.
Sells as exposed to a 32 inch buckskin AMHA AMHR Staillion for a possible 2015 foal!
She was dry lot/paddocked w/ him for end of May/and June
She is not ultrasounded yet but will do that toward fall to see who took etc - price may go up once confirmd by a vet that shes in foal.
I adore her but really need to cut back my small herd - my work life is currently having me work alot of hours and that is the main reason shes for sale - she is sweet but also spirted and has her own expressions/attitude - shes not bite/kick etc but she does whinny for me alot - paw to tell me feed her dinner NOW etc - just adore her goofieness
