Farnley Celebration aka Surplus is a 13.1 1/2, 6 year old, dark dapple grey gelding. Surplus is by Arlen Royal Banner out of Farnley Night Life. He is confirmationally perfect, but does have an old scar on his right eye. It does not seem to affect him though. He was purchased in last summers Farnley auction. He was then turned out and barely handled for a few months. I bought him, started him back undersaddle and and over fences. He is green but willing undersaddle. He is hacking with changes, and started over fences. He is a great mover and shows promising form over fences. He will easily make a top rated show pony. Surplus does have a few trust issues. He can be shy about being brushed, tacked, and blanketed. He also can be funny about being caught and needs to go out in a halter or muzzle. When he is on a program these issues go away, but unfortunately with my lack of rider we are unable to get him going consistently. Priced for a quick sale, I do not want him to go to waste!
