Additional Comments:
Dallas is a 5yr old quarter horse mare. Both parents are registered, but we were unable to get papers on her. Her grandsire is Topsail Cody. She is sorrel, and stands 15.1 hands. Dallas is up to date on all shots, worming, teeth, feet, etc. Stands for farrier, bathes, ties, tacks, lunges, etc. Will load in any trailer, doesn’t need to be tied in. No vices or issues at all. Dallas has been ridden on trails and through water just fine. She will go out alone or with other horses, nothing really bothers her. She has been around a lot of construction and traffic, and doesn’t turn her head. She is quiet and gentle for your kids to ride during the week, but will be ready for you to haul on the weekend. Dallas has been roping for 2 years. Stands great in the box, no issues. She works nice on the heel end, rates good, stops hard. Loves to rope, will push cows up all day. Been hauled to lots of arenas. Would make a great breakaway/steer wrestling/calf hose/all around rodeo, just needs you to show her what to do. Learns fast, wants to please. Easy horse to haul, stands great at the trailer, not “herd bound” at all. Dallas has been on the barrel pattern for 11 months, and running the pattern for 4-5 months. She has consistently run low 18’s, and high 17’s with room to improve. Dallas runs barrels/poles in just a loose ring snaffle, no need for any strong bits or combos. She has tons of potential, just needs more mileage. She has no gate/alley issues, will walk in the arena, do her job, and walk right out. Dallas will also walk or trot the pattern perfectly for a child or inexperienced rider. You have to push her to run hard. You can ride her bareback with a halter, always the same horse. Just practice the pattern once or twice a month, keep her legged up, and she is ready to haul when you are. Dallas has been patterned on poles slowly for 8 months, and run only 4 times. She has run 23-24’s every time, with lots of room to improve with mileage. She also ties goats and loves it. She has been tying goats for 9 months. She will make a great high school rodeo horse. Guaranteed sound in every way, clean legs, never had a sick day. Easy keeper, personality plus. This would be a GREAT horse for someone that cannot afford a $30,000 junior/hs rodeo horse...Dallas just needs more miles than I can give right now.
