UPDATE 4/3/2008: Elvis is doing GREAT! We have him in round pen training and has started under saddle. He is coming along wonderfully and I have plans to break him to a cart late summer. He has had a rider a few times in the round pen and did not make one wrong move! I'm so proud of him :) With continued training, Elvis' price will be going up. So don't hesitate if your looking for that cute little mini! * He will only be sold to a loving home where they will continue his training.
Elvis is a cute Shetland/Mini mix that I had rescued two years ago. He was just a pasture ornament/ lawn mower when I got him. He was started under saddle this summer but my kids have lost interest, but he did very well. I don't have the time to train him. He has been used as a lead line pony in the past and has been mounted and "ridden" about 6 times. He is not a get on and ride pony! He needs further training. I would not be selling him but I do not have the time he deserves. He will tie and stand for kids to brush him and LOVES treats. He eats less than my yellow lab and is an easy keeper. I will only sell him to approved loving home! He had been through a lot when we got him, and now is spoiled rotten. I do not want him to go through anything else like that again. He would make a great children's pony with some training or a great companion horse... he loves to play halter tag with the other horses in the pasture! They literally pick him off the ground when he grabs their halters! He needs someone to spend more time with him.
