Additional Comments:
Solid Black: Zippo was raised in Iowa and trained at a reputable feed lot training facility sorting calves. I believe he would make a great roper. This gelding has the smoothest trot of any horse I have ever ridden a gentle lope to match, he knows his leads and can be fast. Zippo will side pass, slide his back when stopped and pivots well. I have taken him on some trail rides; crossed wooden bridges and large and small creeks. Once I took him on a trail ride with some "walking horse buddies", he trotted solid for 6 1/2 miles with one small break. My friends were impressed. Every where I take Zippo people oooh and aw over him (in the summer he slicks out solid black). I have a cow calf operation as well and have used him weaning calves. In the pasture Zippo will follow you around like a puppy, however, when you mount his back he is all business. This horse is for experienced rider in western riding, roping and sorting!
