Fetal sexing shows that Select Dancer is carrying a colt so we are offering an in-utero colt option only on this 2012 foal. This cross promises scope, technique and the reflex for the most technically demanding jumping tracks.
The foal's sire is the imported stallion, SCF Renaissance (Lux Z-Silvio-Landadel), who combines abundant scope, excellent technique and superlative gaits, especially his canter. Video of SCF Renaissance competing in his first Grand Prix: Scf Renaissance 1st Grand Prix
The dam is our premium mare, Select Dancer. A winning race horse, a preliminary-level eventer and a 2nd level dressage horse before soundly retiring to motherhood at the age of 12, Gracie exemplifies the athleticism, conformation and heart sought by today's sport horse breeders.
With her Warmblood exterior, correct conformation, substance and bone, "Gracie" had EU judges doing double-takes. Accordingly, she received premium status with the 4th highest overall mare score and the highest Thoroughbred mare score in the BWP registry in 2005.
In-utero purchases are risk free and allow our clients to purchase "more horse for less." A small deposit is required to hold the in-utero foal. The remainder of the balance is due with the successful completion of the Foal Wellness Exam at 18-24 hours post-foaling. If the foal should not pass the Wellness Exam, the deposit is either fully refunded or the purchaser can decide to apply it to another foal or horse offered for sale by Avenir Farm.
To give buyer's maximum flexibility, if a different foal steals your heart, you may switch your in-utero contract to that of an on-the-ground foal if it is available for purchase. We want each buyer to have no regrets about their purchase.
Board, daily care and extensive handling and training is included in the in-utero price through the weaning of the foal (typically 4-5 months of age). Post-weaning boarding and care options are available at our Lexington farm.
