Duck is one of those geldings you don't find very often. He is gentle for anyone! He has been there and done it all. I have owned him for almost 6 years and have done alot on him. He has mostly been used on the ranch, but i have also used him to run flags at rodeos as my Queen horse, and to pick up broncs at rodeos. He was ridden at the Cody Stampede in Cody, WY on the 4th of July, in the parade and rodeo. The crowds and noise do not bother him.
I have drug calves to the fire on him at brandings, gathered, sorted, and trailed cows. He has won me money at team pennings. I showed Duck in 4-H for a couple years and did quite well on him in western riding and trail. I have also run barrels and poles. He has been in the mountains elk hunting and has been packed.
Duck is very easy to catch, he is one of those horses you can catch anywhere at any time. He can be ridden bareback. He can be ridden with any type of bit, hackamore, or halter and i have ridden him with a war bridle. Turn him out for a day or a year and he will be the same every time you get on him. He will not buck and usually doesn't spook. He doesn't have any bad habits. He is easy to catch, shoe, load, haul, clip, saddle, and stands good to get on. His right hind leg gets a little stiff in the winter due to an old wire cut, but this does not affect his soundness. He is an awesome horse, i just don't ride him much any more due to all the younger horses i have. Please take a look at this guy, he is truly a great horse. I guarantee you will love him!
