Doc is a seven year old, 16 Hand Percheron X Quarter Horse Gelding. He has hundreds of using miles under saddle in rugged mountain territory, Columbia County scab land, and just around the ranch. He is a great ranch horse, lead horse or pack horse, and just a really fun all-around using horse. Well handled and good mannered, no bad habits, really easy to get along with, absolutely a pleasure to ride anywhere you go. He's been ridden by a couple teenage girls for the last five years, and has done just about everything two teen age girls can think of, including lots of fun horse games and cross country endurance rides. This is a FANTASTIC experienced horse, and will make a wonderful trail horse, hunting horse, or just a good ole using horse on the ranch.

Doc was injured as a two year old by loose wire, and as a result has always lifted one leg higher than usual when he walks. We haven't given it a second thought, taking him on forty mile rides and galloping on trails in the mountains. We expect that Doc will never be lame, but we don't guarantee soundness. The amount of experience that Doc has is worth A LOT to a someone looking for a good safe using horse that is this nice and has this kind of mileage, but because of the slightest hitch in his hind leg, we are offering him for sale at $4,000.
