2D/3D quick barrel mare. We've had Destin for 10 years. She won 2nd in 3D adults and tied for 3rd in 2D adults for year end points with NBHA for 2011. She will be ran until she is sold. She would make a great step up horse for a youth rider looking for more speed. She is for an experienced rider only. She has a big motor & a lot of speed! When you're on her back she's ready to go just point her to the barrel. We always lope her in circles before running the pattern. She's an easy keeper! No injections & no shoes. You don't have to pattern her through out the week just keep her legged up, she never forgets the pattern even if she's off for a month or more. She has brought us home many checks. Destin is a free runner, I've never used a whip or spurs with her. She has ran poles before when she was younger but I run NBHA and they don't do poles. We work her in a round pen, on a lunge line, or just in circles out in the field. She goes on trail rides as well and does fine. She rides in a junior cow bit at shows(no tie down) and when we exercise her at home we use a hackamore. Best horse to load in trailer, bathes, & stands for the farrier.
