Additional Comments:
Kona is a Friesian Sporthorse mare by the imported Friesian stallion Baron von Kolderveen, who is the sire of numerous successful dressage horses, including the 2006 FSH Horse of the Year. She is confirmed in foal to Sempatico, a fully approved pinto German Warmblood stallion. Sempatico is homozygous pinto, so Kona's foal will also be pinto.Kona has had one foal already, a lovely Friesian Sporthorse filly foaled earlier this year. It was an easy foaling, and Kona was a very good mom. Prior to being bred, Kona was lightly started under saddle. She was very quiet, and it should be no problem to resume her training after she foals in 2009.Kona is a very nice mare, more of a Baroque type Friesian Sporthorse, with a wonderful quiet disposition, three good gaits, and a natural talent for "sit" and collection. Please visit our website for more photos and information, including numerous photos of her 2008 filly. (The only reason we are considering selling Kona is to keep her filly to add to our broodmares, as her filly is currently the only registered Friesian Sporthorse filly in the US known to carry the creme (dilute) gene, in addition to being a well-bred quality filly.)We would also consider in-utero options for her foal.
