CD is an extremely well bred, nicely built, and good minded 3 year Chestnut ranch stallion. He is put together well, 14.3 hh with a great hip, lots of bone, pretty head. CD is AQHA registered as "Dualing CD Light" #5270155. He is extremely well bred, old foundation breeding, tracing back to CD Lights, CD Olena, Dual Pep, Peppy San Badger, and Smart Little Lena. He is bred to be good minded, tough, cowy, and gentle, and he is definitely all of those. CD is extremely gentle to be around, both on the ground and in the saddle, and we haven't found anything that bothers or spooks him. He grew up on a big ranch in Montgomery, Tx, bred, raised, trained and owned by one ranch. CD has been used for all phases of ranch work, including roping barrels, out in the pasture, and ponying colts. He always rides quiet and low headed, and travels out nicely. He is a pleasure to ride in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn't spooky. He knows his leads, has a good handle and stop, will sidepass, open and shut gates, and work off your leg. He has a very smooth trot and lope. CD is very laid back, yet responsive, the type of horse that will walk quietly all day if you prefer but easily step into a trot or lope if asked. CD has never offered to buck, even when he was broke to ride, and is gentle enough for just about anyone with basic riding skills. He rides great by himself or with other horses. He is the perfect age to take in any direction, whether you want to use him on the ranch, take him to the arena and make a performance horse out of him, or just ride him for pleasure. He has the mind and ability to do anything you ask of him. He has great ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to clip, load, haul, and shoe.
