Coal is just stunning, well gaited and a big boy, he is now over 16h. he's a blue/ grey sabino gelding that just had some professional training under saddle done by a John Lyons certified trainer.
He has been ridden on the back roads and on the trails and has just went on ( 2) five hour trail rides a few weeks ago, one had over 100 horses and riders, he went down some really steep mountain trails and up some, crossed the creek 3 times, he even stopped to play in the water, went on back roads, crossed asphalt, and on all kinds of trails, he did great, rode with horses he knew and with ones he didn't, he rode away from his buddies without a problem, can be middle or anywhere in between, he preferse not to be the lead horse but will ride out alone.
Has had many many hours of ground and arena training and desensatized to as many things as possible, he will even walk or ride over a training mattress, has been line driven so you could continue his training to get him to pull a cart, he high line ties so you could take him camping if you wanted, he does all the basic things like tie, leads like a perfect gentleman, lunges, bathes, clips, loads.
He stands to be mounted and dismounted and just loves to be groomed, he has a nice long overstide so he could make a wonderful endurance horse.
