Additional Comments:
Lads Imperial Dun (Sherman) is powerful, charismatic - and drop dead gorgeous! A red, line back dun with four matching white stockings and a blanket. No mottled skin anywhere on this beautiful guy. Used mainly as a pleasure and trail horse, this 16 HH smooth gaited boy will go all day & then ask for more. Trail ridden almost exclusively in the mountains, he will cross water, logs, bogs, rocks and highways. We use shoes or boots on his front feet because he has tender tootsies. Sherman was shown as a weanling, yearling and two year old, earning points in halter (he was Washington State Fair Champion) in-hand-trail and hunter-in-hand. His breeding is packed with world and national champions - check it out on www.allbreedpedigree.com/lads+imperial+dun. He has free jumped 2.5 foot rails with ease and has the potential to be an awesome sport horse. Also, we introduced him to cows and he was keen and aggressive. Sherman has had 4 months professional, practical horsemanship training and is currently in training with a silver level Chris Irwin trainer. This big, strong boy would excel with an intermediate/experienced horse person that will ride him regularly/often and give him a job. Alternatively, a new rider working with a riding instructor or coach will also enjoy him. Sherman is an intelligent, loving clown who demands that his rider is consistent and confident. He is the alpha horse in the pasture. Selling reluctantly due to owner's poor health. $3,000 OBO. Consideration for a lease to purchase given to the right home. No free leases.
