See http://www.foxtrotters.org for video and pictures. DeMille Foxtrotters are known for the SMOOTH gaits and surefootedness the breed was created for.
Vanity has been used primarily as a broodmare, although she has been ridden some. She was never trained, but one day I just threw a saddle on her and a hackamore and took off with other horses and she did good. I continued riding her daily for a week or two, making her go off alone as well part of the time.... (read more) She is a long way from a well trained horse, but she is EXTREMELY gentle, VERY non spooky, and could easily be turned into a riding horse. But, she has some lameness on her front feet at times (as shown in the videos), and is tender footed, but sometimes she rides well without too much lameness. It seems to come and go randomly. I think this is due to being thin soled and flat footed, so she bruises easily. As a brood mare she is fine going barefoot. She is homozygous black and homozygous tobiano too! She's double registered as a MFT & Spotted Saddle Horse. She is bred to Pawnee for a 2012 foal. We are selling her just to reduce our herd, and we're just keeping horses for breeding that are also good riding horses. Vanity is the sweetest natured horse you'll ever find and will be a joy for you to own as a family pet and to have some foals from!
Sale $1,500! ... or to a good home, if we get her 2012 foal back at weaning then you only pay $750 to own this beautiful mare!
