Indian is an awesome spotted gelding that is absolutely gorgeous, super well gaited, and an amazing ride! He goes anywhere you tell him and does everything a horse should without problems. I've ridden him hundreds of miles in the mountains and deserts, on and off trails through brush and water and jumping logs running after deer and elk, and climbing up and down mountainsides most people wouldn't climb without rapelling gear! He is simply a solid, great horse for a good rider with some experience and confidence in the saddle. He stands 15 hands and has great endurance and athletic ability. If I was ever to want to keep a gelding for myself this is one I'd choose for me!!! He is good for a intermediate rider who can handle an occasional shy or jump sideways at something like a deer or turkey coming out of the brush, but nothing to be scared of at all if you can balance riding a bicycle over bumps and not be scared of the horse's excitement. He calms quickly and is very easy to stop if spooked, usually amounting to no more than a 18 inch side-step. My children ride him and LOVE him! He is gentle and relaxed with kids and beginners and yet full of life and energy when an experienced rider is on him and asking him for it...a truly rare and wonderful quality! He is not a horse to send beginning kids out on a ride alone, but is a great kid horse for a child who has some experience and knows the commands to give and confidence to make their horse obey. I use him often to put people on who don't know how to ride well yet and just have them follow me. When riding Indian, I often go out in front or even leave the other horses and ride into all kinds of rough country alone to explore. He is a super animal!!! I have not yet taught him to stand still for gunfire off his back, but I've shot a lot while standing next to him and holding his reins and he is easy going about it. This horse is amazing and one worth keeping for a lifetime riding partner! Indian does a dream flat walk that will keep up with many of your foxtrotting buddies and also does a nice foxtrot and a running walk to die for! He will also relax and walk like a Quarter Horse if you want him to with your non-gaited friends. You will feel totally spoiled out on the trail with this gaited dream horse! Watch YouTube video
