"Skylar" is a 16 year old registered Spotted Saddle Horse gelding,. He's around 14.2 hands. Skylar was a backyard pet for 10 years and since then has been taken on trails and to shows. He was in 4H this past year showing in Showmanship classes. He has 4 gaits that I know of; walk, trot, rack, canter. Since I ride English and don't ride gaited horses it would be great for someone to see if he does any other gaits. Goes great under saddle, I ride him in an English rubber snaffle and in western. I have been working on desensitizing him to simple things like tarps, umbrellas, flags, people running and jumping near him. He's updated on everything. He clips, stands for farrier and bathing, loads, and get along with other horses. I suggest an intermediate rider or an experienced rider due to the fact he was probably a contest horse in he's prime years and still has some get-up-and-go in him. Skylar would make a great contester still, even a trail horse, or just a pet.
