Excellent gelding for any rider. This boy could very easily be back in shape ready for the show ring, or just for pleasure. Darby is a 12 year old 16.1hh classic bay registered aqha gelding (has papers). Darby has done it all! He was started as a AQHA show horse and had some western training. Then he did hunters with previous owners. His current owner has done some combined shows (dressage and show jumping), dressage shows, hunter schooling shows - all with great success and great comments from the judges. He is level headed enough for an intermediate rider who knows their basics, but has the potential for any competitive rider to take up the levels. He is currently jumping about 2'6" but last year was jumping closer to 3' on a regular basis. His partboarder bought her own horse and now unfortunately his owner just cannot afford to keep him with time restraints for a demanding job. He could VERY easily be showing in the hunters, eventing or dressage. He hacks no problems, is very personable in the barn, trailers, good for vet and farrier, UTD on all shots, deworming and farrier. Has been well taken care of, he just is out of shape and could lose a couple pounds!! Once the part boarder stopped riding, he just lost his fitness and needs to gain the muscling back.This is a fantastic horse for the adult amatuer wanting to get back into showing, or a youth with a coach. He needs to go as owner doesn't have time for him so all offers will be considered. Currently asking $4800 but negotiable to a great home.
