Sage is a grey arabian-cross mare. She does not have papers and we are unsure of her age, although she has been estimated around 16yo. Sage is a great horse who has tolerated being used as a lesson horse in our lesson program for the last 5 years. She has the build and drive to be an endurance or competitive trail horse. She rides out on the roads surrounding our property with no problems and will really move out. She leaves the other horses behind!... (read more) Although she has given beginner lessons in the past, she would be better suited to an intermediate rider as she will move out when asked; she loves to go and will happily canter for long periods of time. Sage is very easy to work with; the kids are able to catch her, round pen her, groom her and pick out her feet, as well as saddle, bridle, and ride her all on their own. Her only problem is that she gets nervous when confined to small spaces. She jumps right in the trailer and will haul fine as long as she isn't tied up, but when kept in a stall she will pace and exhibit signs of nervousness. Sage is current on all vaccinations, worming, teeth, and farrier work.
