Maddie was rescued from a "breeder" in Durand who kept her locked in a 10x20 indoor stall with 3 other babies her entire life. She had never had any farrier care, deworming, vaccines, grain, or exposure to natural sunlight before she was rescued and brought here a few months ago. After being brought UTD on everything, gaining some weight, and slowly repairing the damage the man did to her, she's turning out to be a BEAUTIFUL, sweet little girl. She's a LATE baby, and probably won't be 2 years old for another month or so. She's in the middle of a growth spurt right now, she's roughly 14 hands in front and 14.3 in the rear, and she's ALLLL legs! She DOES need continued physical therapy (mostly lunging, but turnout in a large pasture where she can run and play will do wonders for her) on her left hind fetlock until the tendons tighten up completely, but she's made at least a 75% improvement just in the few months she's been here.
