"Teddy" is a 1994 chestnut Trakehner/Thoroughbred/Appalossa cross gelding. He is a longtime member of our lesson program and quite enjoys teaching students how to ride. One of our most versatile horses, he can be trusted to both take care of the new riders and challenge the more advanced students. In his former life, he was trained as a hunter, jumper, and eventer, and competed in eventing through Novice level. Due to some arthritic changes in his neck from previous training, he can go longer "go round", but he can still bring out his fancy warmblood gaits when ridden well.... (read more) He very much enjoys jumping, and is reliable and fun over fences. We feel it is now time for Teddy to find a "forever home". He would make a great children's horse or would love to help a timid rider build back their confidence. Teddy has no vices, wears front shoes, and goes in a plain snaffle. He is UTD on all farrier, veterinary, and dentistry care.
