Bug is an APHA Sorrel Mare, 7 Years Old. She is Broke Well, Smooth and quiet ride with a very soft mouth. Washes, Ties, Bathes, Loads and behaves very well for the farrier. She is very personable, a huge sweetheart and will be in your hip pocket when you're in the pasture. She is super intelligent and curious by nature. She has been ridden with a Curb bit, Hackamore and many times in just a rope halter. With just a rope halter she'll switch leads and has a huge stop!
She has been roped off on the head and heel side in the practice pen as well as calf roped in the practice pen. She backs into the box and is very quiet in the box. She goes based on the rider telling her to do so and doesn't go based on the sound of the chute. Very Fast! She would make someone a really nice rodeo horse, simply because she is so versatile! She need a few months more training to be a finished roping horse but she has all the right pieces to be a great one with some training, she's still a touch green at this time.
Rides with front sport boots and rear skid boots. When given the opportunity to make sharp turns around barrels she does so with ease and explodes out of the turns so I know she has had some work on barrels as some point. This mare constantly amazes me with everything I throw at her, she learns quickly and was trained with an amazing foundation. I've yet to find something she can't do. Always licking her lips and always looking to please.
All Vet work & visits done at Dr. T's Equine Clinic in Salado by Dr. Whitaker. Last visit was 11/20/2010. She received Flu Rhino West Nile Rabies and is current on Coggins. She also had a Power Float for sharp points and an Extraction for both wolfteeth with all paperwork
available for inspection. Her feet were trimmed 2 weeks ago. Worming is also up to date. She rides barefoot primarily and has great hoof walls and will take shoes well also.

She will be an amazing breeding mare with the genetics from the sire and damn side and the
painted up white coloring from her sire side.
She would be a great horse for a youth rodeo/teen or high school/college rode with some added training. She would also be a great daily/weekly rider. I've got her marked as a 3 becuause if you ask her she will go and go fast so she needs a rider with some experience. I feel she is really closer to a 2. She is also just as happy walking along with a small kid on her back trail ride style.
The reason for the sale is that I started a new job and I no longer have the time to ride her and rope often enough to put this amazing equine athlete to use. She has the potential to be a great one and it's unfortunate that I don't have the time to utilize her to full potential. I'm not apposed to keeping her if I don't find the right home. With all her training and ability she is worth $4000, I don't have time to ride her on a regular basis so she needs a tune up and some additional roping training which equals a $2500 discount for you.... My Loss is your gain. She's a great horse with a great foundation who needs a good home.
