This mare should have been paint registered . The people we bought her from as a 2yo. never registered her dam or put the effort into tracking down her papers so she finished up Pinto registered . We used her as a ranch horse for a number of years on a 75000acre ranch on the Western slope in Colorado . She was used to gather and sort cattle and was as good in the corrals as she was on the mountain . My wife used her for some day work and general riding when we moved to our current place .We have had two colts out of this mare by a Skipper W stud that were both top quality . We are moving to a smaller place and are going to concentrate on our cutting horse program , so are cutting back on our numbers . The only hole in this mare is every now and then she gets a bug in her ear when trimming or shoeing . sometimes yes and sometimes no . I guess its a mare thing . |
