Scout is a loud Bay Tovero with one blue eye, and one partial blue eye. He is growing well and ready to go to his new home. He is halter broke to lead, and show in halter. He loads, backs off the trailer, bathes and ties. Scout has had extensive ground work done with him, including round penning, desensitizing, lunging, saddling and bridling. He is basically ready for someone to step into the saddle. He is super quick, and friendly. Quiet but alert disposition, wants to please.
He is bred to perform. His pedigree includes: Colonel Freckles (point and money earner & AQHA Hall of Fame, 2004), Sargent Freckles (Reserve National Champion & sire of "Mark This SPOT", APHA), Boon Dar (point and money earner), Doc's Jack Sprat (point and money earner), Mr. Tramp (APHA Superior All Around Champion, Register of Merit, 149 Halter points, 194 Performance points), Doc Bar, Poco Tivio, and more. His grand dam is a money earner in the NCHA. His dam is my go to horse, and has been rode in parades, on trails, and search and rescue missions and moving cattle on our farm.
Scout is nice enough to keep but I don't need another horse at this time. He has some very interesting markings, like the three feathers on his left rump, eyeliner around his right eye, a thumbprint in his right ear, and a thumbprint on his butt by his tail. On June 7, 2012 he was 13:2 hands and weighed 525 pounds. August 26th, 2012, he was shown at a local fun show and placed third in both the Yearling Halter Class and the Most Colorful Paint class-all ages. He was shown by my 12 year old nephew. He was prepped for the 2013 show but nicked his leg unloading the trailer at the show and wasn't shown.
Scout was taken to our local horse show again in August 2014. He was entered in the 3 yr old halter class; placed 2nd while shown by my nephew. Scout was also entered in the MOST COLORFUL Paint horse class where Scout won 1st place in a very large class. Because of that he was also entered in the Grand Champion Halter Class.
Scout is one of the first at the gate to come see you and enjoys spending time with you.
