Thoroughbred mare, backed, started and trained within the last year and a half. 15.1 hands, bay. Completely sound, never raced or race-trained. Uncomplicated and honest.
She cross ties, is good for the farrier, vet, dentist, trailers and very sweet with children and animals. She is completely sound with no issues and is utd on farrier, vet, coggins, worming etc. She is also not an alpha mare but not at the bottom of the pack, she gets along well with other horses.
She was started with basic dressage and lunges, w/t/c. She responds to leg and body and is not lazy yet not really forward with a great work ethic. She is very consistent at the trot and cantered under saddle for the past few weeks. She has been started over jumps and is willing to go over any small obstacle. She is currently both ring worked english, jumping, and trail ridden 4-5 times a week. She has the ability to do low level eventing, low level jumping, hunters, and some low level dressage or just be a nice trail horse. She has been ridden on trails and a hunter pace last fall and she was great. She also has some recent show experience in ithaca, where she placed 1st, 3rd, 4th, in w/t cavalettis and behaved excellently.
I rescued her so she wouldn't get raced and wanted to train her so I could find a good home. I must sell her asap as I am leaving for a new job out west and can not bring her with me. If she is finished off w/t/c jumping and made bombproof within the next few months her price will go up to 2000.
