What a cutie! "Rio" is my husbands trail horse but due to a change in our focus (showing QH) he has not been getting used. He has a super personality on him, calm, not spooky, and loves your attention. His loud color makes him a standout but his personality is what will make you fall in love. I have shown "Rio" at open shows in HUS, WP, and showmanship. Stands tied to the trailer all day without a fuss! He has rec'd regular vet/farrier/worming/teeth prophylaxis since we have had him. Very easy keeper; is on pasture for the summer and hay for the winter. He loads, clip, bathes, and stands for the farrier without a fuss. He is level 1 Parelli trained and has a soft mouth; my beginner husband rides him in a rope hackamore. He has been around dogs, 4-wheelers, and road traffic, this year we have only ridden him out once and he was a perfect gentleman - over a bridge, through water, past dogs. We have trial ridden him for the last 2 years by himself so he is not dependent on another horse or herd bound. This is a tough decision for us; keep him home without a job, or place him with a loving family who will use him. Please do not inquire if you are a horse trader or a trail riding firm; "Rio" will be sold to an approved home only, we are not just looking to dump him.
