Eddie the Mule

Eddie is a mule with a story. He has lived his whole life in Cogar, OK. He started with a man down the road who's grandkids rode him, and ponied him around. The man moved and left Eddie, so he moved across the road with our neighbor and lived for a number of years. He was just out to pasture and never messed with other than feeding.He was put back out this winter and we have yet to catch him again. We would like to sell or trade him, not because he is a bad mule, he's great at keeping dogs out of the field! But just because he is one more horse we are feeding but not riding. I want him to have a good home but one where that knows about mules and his situation. He is a mule and has been out to pasture of a number or years. He is hard to catch! Every time we have caught him we have to pen him to catch him. BUT if penned for some time he does settle and is open to be caught and messed with. He decide our horses needed a mule and moved into our field close to 4 years ago. He had been loose in our field with our horses because we couldn't catch him. We caught him last spring and found out he leads and settles down extremely well when caught. It's just the catching that is hard. I have rode him 5-6 times bear back with a halter and he did well. Turned in both directions and went and stopped for me. All he need is a home with people who know mules and have PLENTY of time to work with him. He is 12 hands tall, and 8-9 years old. He is a bay and has no white markings. He foundered in the past, he has been on good pasture, and has had his hooves fixed now. He needs a good home to live the rest of his life out on. He is a good boy, just has had a hard life. I am only asking $50 for him. I do suggest you bring a halter and a lead rope to leave on him, and a lot of time in a round pen or small area until he is use to you and you are able to catch him. Please call/text/email me.
