Buddy is a very handsome tri-color paint gelding. He is 10 years old and has been used as a lesson horse for both English and Western disciplines. He is a very solidly built horse, and can handle riders that are a little heavier with ease. While not 100% a "kids horse" (he will take inexperienced children back to the barn at a slow pace), he is definitely a great horse for a beginner rider under supervision that wants to learn more.
Buddy loads in a trailer, stands to be bathed, and stands for the farrier. He also neck reins, knows how to work off of verbal commands, and can even be ridden bareback! His gaits are smooth enough that even a beginner rider sitting the trot shouldn't feel unsettled. He has also been on the trails at the Texas A&M University - Commerce Equine Center, and did great! He would be an excellent horse for someone that wants a nice quiet ride to go crusing down the trail. With his stout conformation he will provide years of nice riding to his new owner.
Buddy is up to date on coggins, shots, worming, and is seen regularly by a farrier.
