"Rebel" is a 5 year old gelding. He is a very quick learner and wants to please. He has been ridden on several trial rides and been through the Rio Grande River when it was low. He is very level headed, and doesn't over react to things, he's is not spooky. He walks, trots and canters in a large arena now and will remain calm in an open area and doesn't try to run off. He is slow legged and when ask to halt is super soft and willing; he just melts into a halt really.... (read more) Sorry he won't ever be a barrel or roping horse, he is lazy and he just has way more whoa than go. However he will try just about anything you ask. He is now being worked with rounding up/collection and is responsive in the hackamore. One negative thing with him is the happiest in the hackamore and dislikes the bit. He has been ridden with a simple bit and will respond though. As of now he has all the basics but just needs the finesse. He has been clipped, bathed and will load up into a trailer. We took him to a horse show and acted like he has done it his whole life. He never panic, spook or throw a tantrum he was super relax and willing to do things at the show. He was started late and I just don't have enough time that he really deserves, he needs someone who will give him a job. He loves people, (will come to you in a grass field when called) he really isn't super fancy but he is just over all fun horse. All natural horsemanship trained.
