Additional Comments:
Sole is a VERY quiet, calm, gentle, kind gelding who has a lot to give. After an injury he suffered at the track, he is limited to flat work only. He is sound for walk/trot/canter on the flat and is a great ride with a true rocking horse canter.
We would really like to see this horse go to a therapy home and as such we have worked to desensitize him. We have worked in a round pen bouncing balls off him, asking him to walk over and under tarps, with tarps wrapped around him, deal with umbrellas, and riders who ride sideways and backwards and he took it ALL in stride. All that said, he's excellent on the ring but does not have much trail experience.
This horse is already ready for a therapy home where he would be on a lead line. We've ridden him English and Western with no problems. Ridden alone in the ring he is great, but if using him as a lesson horse his new trainer would probably benefit from giving him a week or so of attention to get him into his new routine.
