Ranger is a great all around trail horse that has recently been taken out to Colorado on two different elk hunts and really stood out as one of the best horses along! He does not hesitate to go wherever you point him. He will go thru water, up steep inclines and back down again without missing a step. One of the best words to describe Ranger is that he is SOLID thru and thru. Wonderful trail horse that you can enjoy on a pleasure ride or take out hunting and know that he is going to be sure-footed. Although we would not label him as a child's horse, our 9 year old daughter has really enjoyed riding him around the ranch lately. He has also been used around cattle and shows that he has cow sense, and we've started him with roping on the head side as well.He is a beautiful boy and you will be sure to get lots of compliments on him just as we have! :) My husband can even crack a 15 foot mexican whip around him without it bothering him. Lazy J Ranch - We are a small ranch just outside of Macon, MS. Our lives are very busy with all that happens on our farm. We have 3 children ages 12,9,and 5. The two oldest compete in local shows from April to October, and my husband has calf-roped for 13 years or so now. We board and train for the public, and we also raise AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgi's and NSDR Miniature and Toy Australian Shepherds. We love this life and feel very blessed to be able to raise our kids on a horse ranch.
