We have owned this gelding since he was 3 months old. He was bought at the last production sale held at the Rafter S Ranch in Bismark AR by the Sutton family. They raised some of the best Ranch and Arena horses using proven foundation lines. He is a pretty lineback dun with a red mane and tail. "Nocona" has fantastic ground manners. He will stand tied quietly all day, bathes, good for farrier, quiet when saddling him, I catch him in the pasture and lead him back to the trailer while riding the 4 wheeler.... (read more) He is not a beginners horse at this time. He doesn't buck but is quick and just not settled enough yet. We have had a few other colts bred the same way and they settle down and become family horses at about 8 yrs old. He has a brother that we started training for team roping and sold to a roper in Colorado who is winning money at USTRC roping. You don't have to be a bronc rider just not a beginner to enjoy him. The only white on him is a small star on the forehead. No scars or blemishes on him. He was gelded as a yearling and doesn't act studdy at all. Gets along good with mares or geldings and is not a fighter in the pasture. If you are looking for an arena prospect for roping, team penning , ranch sorting or any other disciple you can take him on and make a good using horse. Don't let the price fool you. This horse could and would be worth much more with some additional riding and training. $1000 firm.
