This is a very nicely built, extremely well mannered mare. Her sire, John Elway, was top 10 World Show (cutting), his sire (Freckles Playboy) needs no introduction. Her dam's sire, Docs Poco Doc, has LTE of over $41,000, his sire (Boon Bar) also needs no introduction. Doc's J Jay is also a familiar name to those with cow horse interests. "Mell" is well broke to ride, with a great neck rein and 'cow horse' stop. She has had some cutting training, albeit many years ago before she was converted into a trail horse/lesson horse/broodmare. Mell moves off your leg and will work a cow quite well. Not much bothers this mare, but I do not consider her suitable for very young or beginning riders as she is NOT a dead head. She is sound to ride or breed and we plan to breed her to our 100% foundation bred buckskin grandson of Cutter Bill in the spring. Breeding can be negotiated, if you want to discuss her purchase....

The pastures not being used for grazing are open for trail riding by our boarders. We have several paddocks (100 x 200) with run in sheds, as well as the standard stall boarding in the barn. Access to the 60 x 152 indoor riding arena is included in monthly board fees.
